S.B. ACCOUNTING SERVICES

ACCPAC

Effective January 1st, 2000 Accpac International will be changing its policy regarding SupportPlus for Accpac products. What this means is that if you are not on current versions of the software as of that date you will be required to pay full retail for upgrades and then purchase the SupportPlus contract. SupportPlus is now mandatory on all new purchases and upgrades from Plus to all Windows versions.

You still have time to get your orders in though; any orders received prior to Dec 31, 99 will still be honoured at the current pricing scheme. Please make sure you have all of the current PTF’s installed to ensure Y2K compliance. Check out http://www.sbacc.net/versions.html

INTERNET

It is becoming more widely accepted now to do business over the Internet. Accpac Plus and Windows have Internet components to allow on-line ordering. Secure Credit Card ordering is available and reliable. Most offices are now getting Cable Modems or ASDL lines for their employees to surf the web and keep in contact with clients through email. It is a much more efficient way of sending documents to far destinations than mail or fax. This allows the receiver to make changes to the document and return it to the sender for approval. Local ISP’s are still offering quality service at very reasonable rates.
